Earth connection in UPS
When installing all electrical equipment, earth connection is essential to maintain the health and protection of equipment. The power shield installation system is no exception, and all ground points in a system need to be securely and programmably connected to the ground connection system. |
A reliable and well-planned ground connection system for PC and UPS installation should at least be able to:
• Protection of equipment against electric shock • Low impedance return path for extra currents • A way to eliminate high voltage currents such as lightning • Suitable wiring for future system development Most terrestrial connection facilities are based on a star configuration or a grid configuration.
In the stellar system, the ground wire for the incoming power is assumed to be a central point, and the other ground wires are connected radially to each device, while in the grid system, the ground wire is connected to the grid or matrix (mat) The ground wires are connected and this system covers the entire area of installation of the devices. Therefore, each device is connected separately to the network using very short wires. Installing a network system is very difficult, and although it is easier to install on top-level computer sites, it has the following benefits: • The whole grid has voltage at the ground voltage • The grid provides very low impedance for all frequencies • The equipment is easy to connect to the grid, but it is much easier to install a star system and therefore. |
